Pengertian Simple Past Tense (WH-Questions)
WH-Questions merupakan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang membutuhkan jawaban lebih banyak mengenai sebuah informasi. WH-Questions ini meliputi Who, What, When, Where, Why, Which, Whose, dan How. Simple past tense (WH-Questions) adalah pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang digunakan untuk menanyakan sebuah informasi pada masa lampau.Dalam simple past tense (WH-Questions) terdapat 2 bentuk kalimat yaitu kalimat nominal (nominal sentence) dan kalimat verbal (verbal sentence). Kalimat nominal menggunakan kata kerja berupa "to be" yaitu "was" atau "were". Sedangkan, kalimat verbal dalam simple past tense (WH-Questions) menggunakan kata kerja bentuk kedua (Verb 2) baik regular maupun irregular verb.

Pada simple past tense (WH-Questions), pertanyaan yang digunakan untuk menanyakan banyak subjek yaitu How Much dan How Many. How much digunakan untuk menanyakan jumlah subjek atau benda yang tidak dapat dihitung (uncountable nouns).
